1789, even brought on by the 18th century, was still unpredictable; it was entirely possible that there would be no revolution, or that a much bloodier one could have emerged. That’s what history doesn’t know how to deal with: the call of the possible. Having worked quite a bit on the riots, I am entirely convinced that now, tomorrow, there could be a revolution (laughter).
